Star Bound

See the world from the port

That boards you now

A vista

Far from the start

Stand Now

Star Bound

Millions of miles

Yet a flash away

From the crossroads

Of your Heart

Look right through

Society's ephemeral lens

Hold against the eternity

Of your soul

Watch spirits of presence pass
By at light speed
Sparking synapse of your mind
Recalling future memories

Sure as tides risen fall

Stars light fade

Great mountains birthed die

Dunes their wake

Drifting remembrance

Shattered days

Go deeper now

Into the fog

Of what’s called Reality

Can you find the line

Splitting space and time

Consciousness from dream

What is true

What's illusion

The great quest of the mind

Dropped by God

Each and own

Sort and decide

Still the spirit bangs along

Boundless ghost riding bent rails

Smokestacks and whistles

Echo distant din

Forever beckon home

Our ancient kin

Roll it over once more

In your mind

Find nothing as sold

Go Now

Star Bound

Where mountains bloom

Into spiral galaxies

Hold fast the moment

Squeeze tight then let slip hold

See nothing bound forever

But the illusion of time
